Opening night of Rodeo Houston was everything and more complete with five star point-shaped stage with a rotating performance area, which allowed the stage to be positioned in the center of NRG Stadium. Val and Kim in the Press Box at Rodeo Houston The Rodeo has committed more than $450 million to the youth of Texas since its inception. It also showcases Western heritage and provides year-round educational support within the community. Since its beginning in 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a 501(c)(3) charity, has promoted agriculture by hosting an annual rodeo that educates, entertains and supports Texas youth. 2 Girls Who Travel were on hand for opening night and of course a few nights in between! We enjoyed the rodeo (especially the mutton busting – those kids on the sheep – so cute), concerts every night, the carnival with games and rides and of course the food! Rodeo Houston is not complete without some serious carnival food – turkey legs, sausage on a stick, nachos, fried oreos, fried cookie dough, candy apples, funnel cake and more! See below □ It was nonstop excitement as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo took over NRG Stadium from February 27 to March 18.
